Minnesota Lynx head coach and president of basketball operations Cheryl Reeve has been tapped to steer Team Clark in the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game after her squad’s decisive 92-75 win over the Washington Mystics pushed the Lynx to a league-best 15-2 record. Friday night’s victory sealed the top spot in the standings for Minnesota and, by rule, granted Reeve coaching duties for the team captained by fan-vote leader Caitlin Clark.
This selection marks Reeve’s fourth appearance as an All-Star head coach (previously in 2013, 2014, and 2017) and continues her unique run as the only Lynx coach ever to earn the honor. Just last summer she guided Team USA in its exhibition against Team WNBA in Phoenix, further cementing her reputation on the league’s biggest stages.
Now in her 16th season on the Minnesota bench—and her second year overseeing basketball operations—Reeve has stacked up 345 regular-season victories, the second-highest total in WNBA history. Her .654 career winning percentage places her among an elite trio of coaches who have captured at least 60 percent of their games.
The accolades keep rolling in: Reeve claimed her fourth Coach of the Year award and second Basketball Executive of the Year honor in 2024, adding to trophies collected in 2011, 2016, 2020, and 2019. She also owns a league-best 49 playoff wins and the highest postseason win rate at .636, guiding Minnesota to an unprecedented 11 straight playoff berths with a single franchise.
New York Liberty head coach Sandy Brondello will oppose Reeve on the sidelines, heading Team Collier, which received the second-highest fan tally. The 2025 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game tips off July 19 at 7:30 p.m. CT inside Indianapolis’ Gainbridge Fieldhouse, with the 12 reserve selections set to be unveiled on league social channels July 6.
